Lasham Booking Rules

Bookings are made for for LGS Flying Training/Checkflights and Solo Glider Bookings.

Slot Rules

In the interest of fairness, the following rules apply on a weekly basis. (Monday-Sunday): The above rules may be modified in the event of an issue with capacity.
The above slot rules do not apply after 12pm the day before, which allows all remaining gliders to then be allocated on a first come first served basis. You can book slots on the day up until 08:30am. If there are any issues or you require a booking after 08:30, please contact the office who will be able to help.

Single Seater Requirements

Before flying any aircraft you must ensure that you satisfy the necessary criteria as detailed below. You must also have read the flight manual for the glider. These are in the CFIs office, in the launchpoint vehicle or on the members area.
Any of the requirements may be waived at the discretion of the Lasham CFI or DCFI only. You must get a briefing from someone who is current on type before your first flight, or if a long period has elapsed since you last flew this type. If this person is not an instructor, then an instructor must supervise the briefing. The supervising instructor will certify the logbook with the new type following the conversion.

Please note, if you are the last person booked to fly a single seater (regardless of time slot), it is your responsibility to ensure the glider is cleaned of any bugs/dirt and put in the hangar with batteries/parachute put away. This is unless you have formally handed the glider over to another pilot or have spoken to the duty instructor. This policy is an expectation for your continued use of the club single seater fleet.

Before flying any aircraft all members must ensure they satisfy the necessary criteria as detailed below.
